Nov 15,  · Got Live If You Want It! made no bones about being a live recording, why they shouted it from the rafters, well at least on the packaging, showing split images of The Stones on the jacket as an intense romantic no nonsense hard hitting fun loving group of musketeers. The reality of the release was something entirely different, and shadowed my /5(K).

Though the studio recordings from this golden period are impeccable, nowhere is the band's growth more evident than on GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT. Recorded by Glyn Johns at London's Royal Albert Hall, this album shows the Stones as a powerful live unit, now capable of subtle emotional shadings as well as rock & roll raveups/5().

It turned up early in as part of Decca's obscure Saturday Club compilation LP, and in , it was retrieved for use on the group's Got Live If You Want It! album, where it was overdubbed with crowd screams to give the (false) impression that it was a live recording.
